His occupation was Telegraph Messenger when he enlisted at Narrandera in December 1915 and served in the 2nd Battalion A.I.F. He left Sydney on the 'Ceramic' 13 April 1916. He arrived in France via Egypt and England in September 1916. He attended the Field Ambulance and was then sent to England for treatment to frostbite to the feet in February 1917 and rejoined his battalion in the field in August 1917. Private Leslie Cyril HOGAN was killed in action at Polygon Wood, Belgium on 17 Sep 1917 age 20. |
